The Birth and Stages of Automobile Industry

The automobile industry came into existence in early 1769, with Nicolas J. Cugnot who was a French engineer and inventor of the first medium of transport that runs on roads. This automobile was a steam powered, three wheeled military tractor. This vehicle had a small range of distance covering capacity, which could run only for a maximum of fifteen minutes. They also required a sufficient starting time. However they were not fit to run on roads due to the bulk load of the steam engines. The steam engine driven automobile was first designed by Oliver Evans in the US.

Internal combustion engine based car powered by fuel gas came into existence in the year 1806. In 1838, Scotsman Robert Davidson invented the first electric locomotive that run on an average speed of 4 miles per hour.

They may not ship what has been requested by the dealers, instead shipping the vehicle they want. How the US Relies on the Automobile Industry

The United States relies on the Automobile Industry, so much that are wiling to give them financial support to help them survive. The White House and US Treasury announced on December 19, 2008 that they were going to loan a total amount of $174 billion dollars. The US Government did this to help the Automobile Industry survive during these rough economic times. It has not yet been seen if this is going to help the automobile industry. The Economy is really needing help, and the loans that the industry received would benefit the economy. With the automobile industry speaking of bankruptcy of all 3 automakers, they have needed more money to survive, and all these things has affected many car dealers and customers all across the nation.

If anyone was wanting to purchase a new automobile, right now is the best time in recent history to purchase a new vehicle. With the price increase of gas in 2008, many gas guzzling bigger vehicles are not selling. This means that many automobile dealers are slashing prices to try to get these vehicles sold. So many dealerships are needing to move vehicles, they are offering unbelievable deals on vehicles across the board.
